David has been in the healthy lifestyle/consumables industry in both the food and nutritional sectors for nearly 25 years as a Senior/C Level Executive and Consultant. David has owned and operated nutritional, food, and beverage manufacturing companies, and worked in various formats with a variety of companies in the healthy lifestyle and nutrition industries. From assisting startups that required development of formulae and the supporting business and marketing plans for the company and their products, to formulae and marketing plans for existing/established brands, general executive oversight of manufacturing facilities, supply chain establishment and support, and creation of new/expansion of existing product lines that include alternative nutritional delivery systems for many of the largest domestic and multi-national healthy lifestyle brands and manufacturing companies, David has been involved in all aspects of the industry.
David has a demonstrated history in merger & acquisition analyses/deal structure/deal execution, manufacturing operations and supply chain management, business development and sales/sales management, entrepreneurship, natural & nutritional product innovation and brand development, and omnichannel retail distribution planning and execution.
David has spoken on numerous natural and nutritional industry panels and at various industry trade shows. David is also a proud and active Syracuse University alumnus and as a brother/member of the Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity, is the Chapter Advisor to the Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity – Tau Chapter at The University of Alabama, for which he won National Advisor of the Year in 2019, and has coached the undergraduate executive members from various universities at National and Regional Chapter Leadership Events.
As a consultant to one of the top nutritional industry executives at the time, David had the opportunity to interface with the SDC team prior to coming on board as CEO, and in his own words: ‘…it was based upon my experiences working with the SDC team, seeing how they operated within their R&D and pricing process, how they managed timelines and production, the professionalism and eagerness to satisfy the customers needs, that I agreed to come on board as CEO. That made my decision easy.’ Under Davids direction since joining as CEO, SDC has been propelled into an exciting, new growth phase with significant business expansion, increased throughput and capacity, all while setting even higher standards for growth, performance, and service with this superior team of professionals.
